We have been misled about the effects of hand sanitizer

For just over a year, Swedes have happily used hand sanitizer to clean their hands. Now inspections by the Swedish Chemicals Agency show that several products have serious defects and contain prohibited substances.

In the worst case, you can be led to believe your hands are clean, when they actually still carry bacteria and viruses, writes Petra von Rohr, CEO of medtech company Biocool.
