We have been misled about the effects of hand sanitizer

For just over a year, the Swedes have happily used hand sanitizer to clean their hands. Now checks from the Chemicals Inspectorate show that several products have serious flaws and contain unauthorized substances.

In the worst case, one can be tricked into thinking that the hands are clean, when in fact they still carry bacteria and viruses, writes Petra von Rohr, CEO of the medtech company Biocool.
